Overview

The purpose of this position is to foster the sales and service process for a designated region through coaching and developing bank associates to build and develop existing and new customer relationships, generating revenue and fee income, and meeting financial goals.   

 

This position may be filled as a Level I or II.  Additional responsibilities and qualifications apply.

Responsibilities:
  • Train and develop associates on sales and service performance, knowledge of bank products and services, and on how to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities targeting new and existing customer relationships.
  • Help to execute corporate and local sales initiatives and business development calling programs with the intent to grow revenue. Leverage data resources to include client and prospect information for leads. Coordinate with LOB reps for cross-selling opportunities. 
  • Support local leadership to complement market strategy while providing consultation on sales and service performance.
  • Develop proficiency in interpretation of sales and customer service metrics and analysis. Monitor production and performance regularly and help management in understanding the data and how it can inform strategy.  Assist in educating branch associates to understand performance data especially as it relates to their performance.
  • Partner with managers to assess sales and service skills for individual associates to develop action plans for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Retail Administration and team members to help drive corporate projects and initiatives relates to sales, service, and customer experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Four year college degree
  • Three years sales or sales training experience
  • Ability to travel frequently
  • Ability to practice time management principles to prioritize workload.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Territory complexity will be considered (number of branch associates, market share, and retail presence)
  • Consecutive years of exceeding goals
  • Proven leadership and coaching skills and display skills of a supportive team member in diverse group settings.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to adapt to change quickly.
  • Proven ability to use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions to complex problems when coaching bank associates and working with bank clients.
  • Work experience in banking preferred

Level II Qualifications:

  • Four years sales or sales training experience

 

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:  Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
