The Outlets of Mississippi is a 315,000 square foot outlet center development in Pearl, Mississippi. 

 

The primary purpose of this project was to create employment opportunities for the surrounding low-income community. The project stimulated investments of over $80 million in Pearl, Mississippi and surrounding Rankin County and created approximately 300 jobs during construction and 1,600 full-time jobs within 18 months of closing the transaction. This project is part of a catalytic development plan to revitalize this area in central Mississippi.

 

Project Impact

  • The majority of the jobs created by this project are held by low-income persons
  • Tenants of the Outlets use the local WIN job center as a source to secure talent
  • New businesses have entered the market to help meet the needs of the community
