Overview

The purpose of this job is to examine the basic commercial and consumer loan applications, promissory note, Boarding Data Sheet, and other source documents to assign loan codes to new and renewed loans in accordance with regulatory and bank requirements to accurately board loans to the loan system. This position will also assess the funding and processing general ledger tickets for accuracy and regulatory issues pertaining to usury. 

Responsibilities:
  • Examine and interpret basic commercial and consumer loan applications/credit presentations, promissory notes, and other source documents to assign codes to new and renewed loans in accordance with regulations, bank policy, and system requirements, board system interfaced loans to loan system
  • Validate the general ledger funding/processing tickets created by the lenders/loan assistants to determine accuracy and to make appropriate offsetting general ledger entries
  • Communicate with lenders/loan assistants to resolve problems and to gather additional information required to accurately code and board new and renewed basic commercial and consumer loans to the loan systems
  • Process monetary and non-monetary transactions pertaining to the basic new and renewed loans
  • Balance loan transactions, including fees, daily to system totals for user
  • Assist with the resolution of unreconciled transactions related to the user’s boarded loans
Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of commercial and consumer loan collateral, security, and lien perfection requirements
  • Basic knowledge of loan structure and billing functionality/parameters
  • Basic knowledge of loan compliance and coding requirements
  • Overall banking knowledge pertaining to loan products and processing procedures
  • General understanding of debits and credits associated with loan/bank processing
  • Ability to comprehend/articulate/communicate loan documentation requirements effectively
  • Ability to work well under pressure within tight deadlines
  • Time management principles to prioritize workload
  • Analytical/judgmental skills
  • Detail oriented with emphasis on accuracy
  • Organization skills
  • Research skills
  • Computer and system skills
  • Two year college education OR High School/GED and one year job related experience
