Overview

Position Summary: The purpose of this job is to lead the support, development, and administration of systems used or managed by the Retail Banking and Corporate Treasury Services division of the bank, ensuring the critical day-to-day functions of the Retail bank are supported by appropriate systems while maximizing efficiencies. This position will also lead and contribute to enterprise level projects, participate in systems vendor management, and delivery of high-quality systems and end-user experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of associates to manage, develop, and maintain systems that are used or managed by the Retail Banking and Corporate Treasury Services divisions of the bank; design system workflows and interfaces to accomplish business objectives with a high level of efficiency and quality end-user experience; oversee system testing, change management, and defect tracking; create and manage version release cycles
  • Lead cross-departmental project or work group teams to accomplish project goals and business objectives; work closely with Product Managers and other Retail Banking associates to support line of business (LOB) needs
  • Oversee day-to-day support and operational status of LOB systems; report and escalate issues as needed; manage timely resolution paths and changes to prevent recurrence; manage appropriate end-user access to systems
  • Support system or product conversions and bank merger activities
  • Identify opportunities within systems to maximize efficiencies or increase productivity and recommend suitable changes to management
  • Assist management in creation of policies, procedures, guidelines, training materials, and other resources; ensure compliance with internal systems policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Create, update, and review business continuity plans for managed systems
  • Participate in and respond to audits, regulatory exams, and other reviews or assessments; complete any required SOX control testing
  • Responsible for actively managing and facilitating staff development through goal establishment, training, tracking, and performance measurement
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Four Year College Degree with 3 years of software development, programming, systems administration, or related work experience-OR-7 or more years of software development, programming, systems administration, or related work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of retail banking and teller functions and workflows (deposit account opening/maintenance, loans, transaction processing)
  • Advanced knowledge of retail and cash management products and services offered to customers
  • Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle and agile methodology; ability to communicate and understand technical and logical reasoning concepts
  • Excellent oral, written, and visual communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to easily build rapport with others
  • Ability to manage, coach, and lead a team
  • Strong project management and change management experience and skills
  • Knowledge and application of basic math and accounting concepts
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service, including demonstrating empathy
  • Ability to manage concurrent tasks/projects with fluctuating demands and requirements; driven to meet deadlines
  • Ability to utilize Adobe, Excel, Word applications
  • Trustmark platform systems experience preferred
  • Project management, agile methodology, or other related professional certification
  • Programming experience (such as JSON, regular expression, web services)
  • Workflow automation experience (such as Power Automate)
